Essie - Capture Every Colour, Nail Every Moment

*AD - Gifted*
Hello! Today I'm back with another Essie post. Essie kindly sent me a set of 8 of their classic polishes perfect for every occasion. They also included a super cute spinning wheel to help pick your shade - you can have a quick look at that and all of the polishes in a reel I posted on Instagram here. There are eight polishes in total, so let's get stuck in!

As always, I'll start by addressing the formulas as a whole. I found all of the polishes super smooth and easy to apply. They all have the newer wide, flat brush that I adore. They do vary in terms of opacity, so I'll share that for each shade below. I did already own four of the polishes, so some of you may have seen me share those before, but I'll still include them all in this post.

For first dates & soul mates - 'Meet Me at Sunset' and 'Lovie Dovie'.

'Meet Me at Sunset' is a rich orange creme. Below is two coats with topcoat.

'Lovie Dovie' is a pink creme, described by Essie as a 'flamingo pink'. I managed to get this one opaque in two coats, although I feel like it might have bordered on a three coater if it wasn't for the wide brush. Below is two coats with topcoat.

For birthdays & bouqets - 'Birthday Girl' and 'Blossoms n' Besties'

'Birthday Girl' is described as an 'iridescent sheer pink'. As this is intended to be sheer, I could still see my nail line after three coats. I wanted to wear it alone for my first impression, but I also think that this would be really pretty as a topper. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Blossoms n' Besties' is described as a 'midtone hot pink'. This one was ever so slightly more of a jelly formula, so I did add a third coat to make sure it covered my nail line completely. If you aren't fussy, you could easily get away with two. Below is three coats with topcoat.

For glitter & the big dipper - 'Ferris of Them All' and 'Mint Candy Apple'.

'Ferris of Them All' is described as a 'muted mauve plum with copper shimmer. This is a complete one coater. I expected it to be a two coater, so didn't apply any thicker of a first coat than I normally would - I'm impressed! Below is one coat with topcoat.

'Mint Candy Apple' is described as a 'creme de menthe mint'. This is one of Essie's most popular polishes, although weirdly I've never owned it until now, and I love mint shades! This was an easy two coater for me. Below is two coats with topcoat.

For fun in the sun- 'Tangerine Tease' and 'Bikini So Teeny'.

'Tangerine Tease' is a bright orange creme. I did need a third coat on this one to ensure it was completely opaque and streak free. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Bikini So Teeny' is described by Essie as a 'pretty yet provocative cornflower blue'. It is a beautiful summery blue with a good hint of purple, and has a super subtle barely-there shimmer that you can just about see on the nail if you know it's there. Below is two coats with topcoat.

What do you think? Essie comes out with the most unique gift sets and fun extras, I just love the little spinning wheel they included with these. There's some good classic fan favourite shades in here, but also a few I'd never personally heard of before - so quite a good mix! I'd love to know which polish you'd pick out of the set.

You can find all of the shades mentioned, along with hundreds of others, on the Essie UK website here.

Hope to see you in the next post!
Becca x
