Essie - Post Lockdown Trending Shades

*AD - Gifted*
Hello everyone! Today I'm back with another Essie post for you all, this time sharing the currently trending shades that Essie think would be perfect for post lockdown manicures once all the restrictions end. With three completely different colours, there's sure to be something to suit plenty of styles. Read on for my full swatches, a bit of nail art, and more info!

As always, before we jump into the swatches, I'll quickly address the formulas. All three polishes are cremes so are fairly similar. They were all super smooth and easy to apply, helped by the current wide-brush Essie uses. One of the polishes is in the quick dry formula which I'll address below.

'Maximillian Strasse Her' is a muted sage green creme. This had really good coverage on the first coat, and only needed a second to even out some minor streaks. Below is two coats with topcoat.

I've just recently purchased the Shrek themed plate collection from MoYou London, and couldn't resist a super quick Shrek mani. I stamped images from plates 01 & 03 using MoYou polish 'Little Pickle'.

'Cold Brew Crew' is a classic mid-toned brown creme. This is from Essie's Expressie quick dry line, and is actually my first polish from this range. I was impressed to find that it did dry down very quickly, although not so quick that it affected application. I do find that a lot of excess polish can collect on the long stem, so I do suggest wiping that off first. Below is two coats with topcoat.

I took inspiration from the name 'Cold Brew Crew', and went for a coffee mani. I stamped various images from UberChic Beauty plate 2-01.

'Go Ginza' is a lilac creme with a pink undertone. As you can see from the photos below, this shifted from purple-leaning to pink-leaning on me depending on the angle. You could get away with this one in two coats, but I did add a third to make sure it was completely streak free. Below is three coats with topcoat.

I used this one for a Cheshire Cat mani. For my stamping, I used Mundo De Unas Alice in Wonderland plate, and MoYou London plate Alice 01.

What do you think? Which of the three shades would you choose for your post lockdown mani? I'm torn between 'Maximillian Strasse Her' and 'Go Ginza' for my personal favourite - both are shades I'd gravitate towards. The Cheshire Cat was my favourite mani though!

You can find the polishes mentioned on Essie's usual retailers - Boots, Superdrug, ASOS, Look Fantastic, Feel Unique, and Amazon.

Hope to see you in the next post!
