MoYou London - Minions Collection

Hello! Today I have a fun post for you - if you like minions that is! MoYou London recently released a Minions Collection with 7 stamping plates full of images of the little yellow characters and more. I couldn't resist buying the full set, along with the minions bundle of stamping polish (black, yellow, and blue cremes). I've done nine manis using the plates so far, so I figured I'd jump on here and share them with you!

First off, just a little bit about the quality of the plates themselves. MoYou London was the first brand I ever actually managed to stamp with, and I find their plates and images so reliable and consistent. I managed to pick up each image first time with no issues, and found they all transferred well to the nail. I tend to get on pretty well with their stamping polishes too. Now onto the manis! I'm just going to share them in the order I created them.

First up is a classic - minions and bananas! I used the blue polish from the bundle, 'Denim Jeans', as my base colour and used images from Minions plates 01 and 03. I stamped using the other two bundle polishes, 'Jet Black' (black), and 'Sweet Custard' (yellow).

Next is another mani sticking to the classic blue and yellow minion colours. I dry brushed 'Sweet Custard' and 'Denim Jeans' over a base of Mezmris Lacquer 'Blue Moon', then stamped using images from Minions plate 07. On my ring finger, I stamped one of the layered images from plate 03.

Next up is this cute little jungle minion from plate 01. I paired him with a couple of the leafy images from the same plate, all stamped over Zoya 'Desi'.

While all of the seven plates are heavily centered around the minions and all of their fellow characters, there are also a lot of non-minion related options. I took a mini minion break with this one and stamped the dripping star image from plate 06. I used a few different colours over a base of Zoya 'Polly'.

Back on theme! I knew I was going to do some sort of mani with Agnes and her fluffy unicorn, and I ended up with the below. Agnes and Fluffy feature a lot on plates 05 and 06, so there were so many options! I stuck to plate 05 for my mani, all stamped over Zoya 'Darla'.

Next is a quick angry purple minion mani. Unless I've skipped over it, I couldn't find a purple minion image on the MoYou plates, so I did cheat a little for this one. The skull is from MoYou Minion plate 03, but the minion itself is from Creative Shop plate 67. I paired both images with Zoya 'Skipper'.

I couldn't do all of these manis and leave out the main man, Gru! I decided he deserved a full mani to himself. I stamped various image from plate 02 over a base of Rogue Lacquer 'Dashing Through The Sky'.

Next is another unicorn mani. I created a gradient using the Pretty Serious Pastel Pet Names Collection, and then stamped some of the images from Minions plate 05 using MoYou 'Jet Black'.

Finally, I went back to the classic blue and yellow minion colours. I painted my nails with MoYou 'Sweet Custard' and stamped over the eye image from plate 04 using 'Denim Jeans'. On my ring finger, I applied Polish Your Dreams glitter topper 'Minion Mayhem' over a white base.

What do you think? I've been obsessed with these plates since they arrived at my door, and I can't promise I won't slip in another minion mani here and there in the future! I've had to stop myself for now. MoYou dropped a Shrek Collection on Friday which I may have bought in it's entirety - including all of the polish bundles! I image there'll be a similarly themed Shrek post soon!
