Swatch Catch Up

Hello lovelies! I've decided to start my New Year by having a good old nail catch up. I have stuff I've posted on Instagram and not on here, fully written draft posts for collections I've never posted on either, and also a folder full of completely unposted swatches and manis. I figured it would be nice to get them posted and start fresh with a blank slate. To start off with, I'm going to be doing a swatch catch up post. All of the swatches in this post have been posted on Instagram but never made it onto here. There are a good few, so let's get stuck in!

Swatch Catch Up - @acertainbeccaa

Danglefoot Nail Polish 'Bluedapest' is a soft blue with gold flakes and delicate holographic shimmer. This is a very old shade from an old nail box (I believe in 2015?), but it's so pretty. An oldie but a goodie! Below is three coats with topcoat.

Cuccio 'Chakra' is a red jelly base with microglitters. This was from an old Mani and Lola box. It builds up well in three coats, and the glitter gives me glass fleck shimmer vibes. It reminds me of one of my favourite ever reds, China Glaze 'Ruby Pumps'. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Nails Inc 'Devonport Street' is a bright pastel peachy orange creme. While it applied smoothly, I did end up having to apply four coats to get fully even coverage. I've used it for some super pretty gradients though, so will likely keep it for nail art. Below is four coats with topcoat.

ORLY 'Feeling Free' is a purple creme. This was from the same Mani and Lola box as the Cuccio polish. It applied smoothly and easily, and as it's from the Breathable range, has the bonus of being base coat and colour all in one. Below is three coats with topcoat.

OPI
'A Roll in the Hague' is a super rich and saturated orange creme. This is one of my favourite orange polishes of all time. I probably have shared it on here before, but it never hurts to have an updated swatch picture! It's pretty much opaque in two coats, although I did add a third this time. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Ard as Nails 'Getting Berry Cold' is a berry jelly base with purple to blue shifting flakies. Kat was kind enough to gift a bottle of this to me for suggesting the name. Being a jelly, it takes three coats to build up. I absolutely love the colour combination of the base with the flakes. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Opulent Essences 'Dirty Snowball' is a white base with black micro-flakes. It was super smooth and easy to apply, and built up nicely. I really like the contrast of the base and the flakes. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Beau Polish 'Sleigh-ing in Satin', a red base with soft gold glitters and a subtle sprinkling of holographic. This was Beau's contribution to the Christmas UK Indie Box. It reminds of santa's suit. Below is two coats with topcoat.

I couldn't resist matte-ing this one:

Opulent Essences 'Tree Up, Baubles Out' is a green jelly base with gold microflakes. This was another polish from the Christmas UK Indie Box. I could still just about see my nail line after three coats, but not enough to justify a fourth. Below is three coats with topcoat.

I was also sent one of Opulent Essences' indie box prototypes, with a similar green base but this time with multicoloured 'bauble' circle glitter. I actually really like the glitter - it's fun! Below is three coats with topcoat.

Painted Polish 'Foliage & Flannel' is a pine green crelly base with red, gold, copper, and bronze colour shifting flakies. This was my Christmas Day polish, and I absolutely adore it. I didn't realise until applying it that it was quite teal leaning, but it works! Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Ard As Nails 'Jawbreaker' is a white crelly base full of a variety multicoloured flakes. This was from the Virtual UK Polish Con, and is inspired by the sweets of the same name. I couldn't resist this one - it's just so fun! Below is three coats with topcoat.

Glam Polish 'The Best Futterwacken in all of Witzend' is a holographic base with ultra holographic glitter, and a rainbow mix of both neon and metallic microglitters. This built up surprisingly well in two coats, though I did add a third to make sure it was fully opaque. Below is three coats with topcoat.

KBShimmer 'Baking Spirits Bright' is a white crelly base with green and red microglitters. I purchased this recently from Rainbow Connection. This has such a good formula, especially for a crelly. It was so smooth and easy to apply, and I could have easily left it in two coats. I added a third out of habit but it barely made a difference. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Tada! Feels nice to be caught up again. What do you think? I've really enjoyed pulling out some more unique polishes lately, especially when it comes to indie brands. I really think I need to pull out some old indie treasures and just enjoy my collection. We'll see if it happens!

Hope to see you in the next post!
