For The Love of Polish Box - September 2020

Hello lovelies! Next to be saved from my drafted posts is the September 2020 For The Love Of Polish Box. For the Love of Polish is a monthly box run by US indies Polished for Days and Pahlish. Each month also features an additional guest maker. I've picked up a couple of these boxes in the past (I think this will be my third), but it's been a long time - so I figured I'd share this one. September's theme was The Great British Bake Off, and who doesn't love a bit of Bake Off?! Read on for my full swatches of each polish and more info.

Polished for Days 'Showstopper' is a deep purple base packed full of orange to yellow to green shifting flakes. The formula was smooth and easy to apply, and you get a decent amount of flakes. It has more of a jelly base (to show the flakes), so I did need a third coat. This polish changes so much depending on angles and lighting due to the shiftiness. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Rogue Lacquer was September's guest maker. 'Nobody Likes a Soggy Bottom' is a mint green holographic with blue and purple UCC (Ultra Chameleon Chrome) flakes. The formula is super smooth and easy to apply. I had good coverage in two coats, though did need a third to build up the depth a bit more. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Pahlish 'Star Baker' is a bright pink jelly base with a mix of iridescent flakes and shimmers, holographic flakes, and bright platinum silver flakes. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, and the flakes all sat nicely flat to the nail. I could probably have got away with two coats on this, but did add a third to be sure. Below is three coats with topcoat.

What do you think? There was something about this box I just couldn't say no to. I loved the theme, I loved the names of the polishes, I loved the look of the polishes - I think it was a good all rounder for me! I don't tend to keep up with the For the Love of Polish box often, as I just don't need the temptation!

The For the Love of Polish box is available monthly for $30 plus shipping on the Polished for Days website here. I paid $16.50 for direct shipping here to the UK, and at a quick glance, they do still seem to be shipping here.
