Hi lovelies! Today I'm back with a look at some new Essie Treat Love & Color goodies. With a new vegan friendly formula, the Treat Love & Color range is Essie's answer to base coat infused polishes. Claiming to leave you with stronger nails in three days, the calcium and camelia extract infused formula is said to 'help strengthen dry, brittle nails' without the need for base coat. I have two polishes to share, plus Essie's cuticle oil. Read on for my full swatches and more info!

As both polishes have similar formulas, I'll address that here. They are smooth and easy to apply, helped by the wide, flat brush now found in Essie's polishes. I applied the polishes to my nails without base coat as intended, and found that they levelled out nicely and dried down smooth. 'Take 10' is a peachy coral creme. This one was nearly there in two coats, but I did need a quick third to even out some subtle streaks. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Berry Best' is a mid-toned berry. It is intended to be a sheer polish so I could still see my nail line after three coats, though it did build up quite well. Below is three coats with topcoat.

To go along with these, Essie suggests the use of their apricot nail and cuticle oil. With the same wide brush as the polishes, the oil is super easy to apply and sinks in quickly. I also really like the scent! Excuse the tip wear on the photos below, I took this after a long day of toddler antics and hand washing - when the oil was much needed!

What do you think? If I'm honest, I don't always wear basecoat, so it's always super handy to have these kind of treat and colour polishes. Not only do they allow you to skip a step in your nail care routine, but you need to buy less products too. I think 'Take 10' is my favourite of the two polishes as I quite like the peach tone on me.
The Treat Love & Color polishes are available for £8.99 each on the Superdrug website here, and the Boots website here. Thanks to Essie, you can save 10% on them at Superdrug using code 'ESSIETLC' (valid until 1st Feb).
Hope to see you in the next post!
