Hello! Today I have Essie's Suitcase Gift Set to share with you. The set contains 10 classic Essie shades, all nicely displayed in a pretty box. Surprisingly I only had 2 of these in my collection already, so 8 of them are new to me shades - which is exciting! Read on for my full swatches and more info.

First up, I'll quickly address the formulas. I found all ten polishes were smooth and easy to apply. They do all vary in terms of opacity, so I'll mention that for each one as I go. All of the polishes do also have Essie's new (ish) flat wide brush, which I definitely prefer to the older skinnier one - I find it helps avoid as many streaks and patches and just overall makes application easier.

I figured I'd just share these in the order they sit in the box. Let's get stuck in!
'Ballet Slippers' is a delicate, super sheer pink. This one is intended to be sheer and subtle. Being such an Essie classic, I'm not sure how I've never had a bottle until now! Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Romper Room' is a soft, light pink creme. Being on the lighter side, this is a little bit streaky to start with, though it builds up nicely. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Lady Like' is a nude creme. Essie describe this as being a 'soft mauve', although I do thin it's one that will look different on everyone depending on their skin tone. On me it's more of a traditional nude shade. Below is two coats with topcoat.

'Fishnet Stockings' is a rich red creme. This is one of the two polishes I already owned, as it was in the Essie advent calendar a few years back. It's one of my favourite reds, so I can see why it's featured in this set. Below is two coats with topcoat.

'Bordeaux' is a deep wine creme. This has a bit more of a jelly finish to it so it does need building up, but it has that lovely squishy depth to it. This is the other one I already had a bottle of, although it was unworn (I don't know why!). Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Aruba Blue' is a rich sapphire blue described by Essie as 'frosty'. I definitely would consider it more of a glass fleck or metallic rather than a frost. Either way, it literally glows off of your nails - it's stunning! Below is two coats with topcoat.

'Meet Me at Sunset' is a rich orange creme. If you read my blog regularly, you'll know I'm a big fan of oranges. Below is two coats with topcoat.

'Let's Party' is a pinky red base with pink shimmer. This one leans either pink or red depending on the lighting. I feel like it's more pink than red in brighter lighting, and more red in lower lighting. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Lilacism' is a soft lilac creme. This built up surprisingly well on the second coat, so I do think you could get away with just two depending on your preference and application. I had some ever so subtle streaks on a few nails, so did add a third coat. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Lovie Dovie' is a pink creme, described by Essie as a 'flamingo pink'. I managed to get this one opaque in two coats, although I feel like it might have bordered on a three coater if it wasn't for the wide brush. Below is two coats with topcoat.

What do you think? These are all beautiful polishes, and I can see why Essie has chosen each one to include in the set. I am surprised I didn't have some more of the cult classsics than I did, but I have them now!
The Essie Suitcase Gift Set is available on the Boots website here. It retails for £80, though I do believe it has been on sale for £40, and will likely go back down to the lower price during Black Friday/Christmas sales at some point.
