Hello lovelies! Today I'm back with a round up of all of my manis for July's Glam Nails Challenge. July's theme was Summer, with nine different prompts spread throughout the month. This was the only challenge I took part it during July as I had a lot of other content to get posted. Read on for a closer look at each mani and more info!
July 1st - Corals
I started off July's challenge with quite a simple mani for corals. My base polishes are Shanelle Louise World 'Burlesque' and 'Blue Bird', and the coral image is from the UberChic Beauty mini Nautical plate.
July 5th - Seahorse
For my seahorse mani, I started with a base of Opulent Essences 'Baked Earth'. I then reverse stamped the cool seahorse from Creative Shop plate 85 onto my middle finger. On my other nails, I stamped the seahorse image from Lina Nail Art Supplies plate Born to Sail 01. The blue stamping polish is Painted Polish 'Stamped in Saltwater'.
July 8th - Sailing Boat
I quite liked my sailing boat mani, I think it's cute! I stamped over Shanelle Louise World 'Blue Bird' using Lina Nail Art Supplies plate Born to Sail 01 and Painted Polish 'Boating in Blue Jeans'.
July 12th - Seashells
I decided to add a bit of colour for the seashells prompt. I started off with a smoosh of Barry M 'Raspberry Ripple, 'Pistachio', and 'Grape Soda'. I then stamped my seashells using an image from Lina Nail Art Supplies Born to Sail 01 (again, are we sensing a theme here?!).
July 15th - Tropical
My tropical mani was pretty much copied entirely from a mani created by Fifi of Damsel Nails (you can see her mani here). Over a base of Shanelle Louise World 'Starship', I stamped jungle leaves and flowers from MoYou London plate Tropical 04. I used various Painted Polish stamping polishes.
July 19th - Whale
Next up is this cute little whale. I reverse stamped him using an image from Nicole Diary plate LD-L003. I created the 'Oh Whale' wording myself, using the word whale from the Nicole Diary plate, and lettering on the MoYou London Scholar 06 plate. My base polish is Dollish Polish crelly 'Candy is Dandy, but Liquor is Quicker'.
July 22nd - Palm Trees
For my palm tree mani, I created a sunsent gradient using Barry M Green Origins polishes 'Cranberry', 'Lilac Orchid', and 'Charcoal'. I then double stamped palm trees from UberChic Beauty 2-03, first in white and then in black.
July 26th - Travelling
This travelling mani came out a lot better than I had anticipated. I started by sponging a bit of white polish over Barry M Green Origins 'Salt Lake'. I then stamped all of my images from UberChic Beauty plate 2-03. This was a vague recreation of a mani I did a few years ago - and it's safe to say it's a lot better!
July 29th - Pool Party
Last up is pool party. I wasn't entirely sure what to do with this prompt but knew I wanted to use Painted Polish 'Yacht to be Cruisin'. I ended up keeping it fairly simple, adding a sun from Apipila plate P11 and a bikini from Born Pretty Store plate BP-X24.
What do you think? Which ones your favourite? I think mine might be the palm trees, I was so pleased with how the gradient came out. Both the travelling and seashells manis were close seconds though! I haven't been taking part in any nail art challenges yet this month as I have a few lots of PR to share with you (including one brand I'm VERY excited for) - but as always, we'll see how it goes.
Hope to see you in the next post!
