Hello! Today I'm back with another nail art challenge round up. As well as completing the Glam Nails Challenge (post here), I also took part in the first ever Dimension Nails Nail Art Challenge. Dimension Nails is a new to me polish brand that is cruelty free, vegan, and donates 5% of their proceeds to animal charities. Based on all of this, it was only right that their first nail art challenge was all animal print themed! I love animal print nails, so couldn't resist. Read on for a closer look at all of my manis!
I had a bit of an internal battle with myself before starting my first mani about whether to stick to the true colours of each animal or not. In the end I settled on using the correct colours. I also used the same two stamping plates - UberChic Beauty Out of Africa-01 for the actual prints, and Bundle Monster (now Maniology) BM-S151 for my animal faces.
May 8th - Leopard Print
Starting us off was leopard print. I used a base of Barry M Green Origins 'Down to Earth'. On my ring finger I also sponged on Barry M Green Origins 'Butterscotch' to get more of a mottled effect before stamping on my cat face. On the rest of my nails, I stamped the leopard print pattern using Painted Polish 'Midnight Mischief', and coloured it in using Barry M 'Butterscotch'.
May 15th - Zebra Print
My zebra print mani was a lot more simple. I used Pretty Serious 'Presence' for my base colour, and stamped using Painted Polish 'Midnight Mischief'.
May 22nd - Giraffe Print
Next up was giraffe print. I intially did this mani completely backwards (I thought the stamping pattern was for the giraffe 'spots', but it's actually for the skin!). My base ended up a smoosh of a few Barry M polishes along with Painted Polish 'Stamped in Sweet Potato'. I then stamped using Painted Polish 'Stamped in Starfruit'. My ring nail was a smoosh, again of several polishes, this time mainly Painted Polish 'Stamped in Mustard'. I stamped my giraffe face over the top using 'Stamped in Sweet Potato'.

May 29th - Tiger Print
Lastly, for my tiger print mani, I used a base of OPI orange 'A Roll in the Hague'. This is more of a burnt orange, but I think it worked well! I did all my stamping using Painted Polish 'Midnight Mischief'.

What do you think? Are you an animal print lover when it comes to nail art? I do find it really satisfying that I stuck to the same general layout for each mani so that they all match! Dimension Nails are doing another challenge for June, this time based around fruit manis. As I said in my Glam Nails Challenge post, I'm not feeling fruit nails at the moment so have decided to give it a miss. I am already participating in a different challenge though, so keep your eyes peeled for that round up next month!
Hope to see you in the next post!
