Hello! Today I have March's Mani and Lola box to share. I put this aside under my nail desk, and promptly forgot about it completely! I did a quick poll on my Instagram stories (if you're not following my Instagram, you can find it here), and the majority of you said you still wanted me to do an unboxing/swatch post. So here it is! Read on for my full swatches and a look at everything we recieved.
A-England 'The Heart Desires' is an silver linear holographic. The formula is super smooth and easy to apply. This is a little bit sheer and streaky on the first coat, but a second builds it up and brings it fully opaque. I used this as a base for my Scratch Stars Awards mani (see that here). Below is two coats with topcoat.
Essie 'All The Wave' is a bold blue creme with just a touch of purple. The formula is smooth and easy to apply. It is a little on the thicker side, but this meant that it was almost a one coater. I added a second to even out some minor streaks and patches, though those with shorter nails may not need to. This also seems to separate a lot in the bottle and although it applied fine, it wouldn't shake back up. Below is two coats with topcoat.
OPI 'Kanpai OPI!' is a dusty blue-grey creme. This is from the Spring 2019 Tokyo Collection. The formula is smooth and easy to apply. Being a softer colour, it does start off a bit sheer and streaky. I found it built up well, and looked best on my nails after a third coat. Below is three coats with topcoat.
Zoya 'Sawyer' is a soft peachy orange creme. The formula is smooth and easy to apply. Again, it does start off a bit on the streakier side, but builds up and evens out easily in three coats. I was convinced I already owned this polish, but apparently not! Below is three coats with topcoat.
Finally, we also recieved a bottle of Essie's 'Back to Bright' brightening nail cleanser spray. Containing citric acid and glycerin, it claims that it 'cleanes and leaves nails looking refreshed, free of oil residue and ready to get polished'. I don't use a cleanser (I just use polish remover), so this is new to me!
What do you think? Would this have been your kind of box? It was great value for money considering the brands included, and I've already done nail art using all four of them - so they will definitely get used! As mentioned in my review of June's box (see that here), I have now unsubscribed from Mani and Lola so I won't be sharing any future boxes for the forseeable future.
You can find out more about Mani and Lola and subscribing here.
Hope to see you in the next post!
