Painted Polish - 4th of July Polishes (& Nail Art)

Hi lovelies! Today I have more Painted Polish beauties to share with you. Lexi released four polishes for the 4th of July  - two ultra holographic microglitters (the Stars & Stripes Duo), holographic bar glitter 'Summer Sparkler 2.0' and red, navy, and silver microglitter 'Star-Spangled Spirit!'. The first three were released here in the UK on Rainbow Connection, where I managed to pick them up. Read on for my full swatches and my 4th of July mani!

First up I have the Stars & Stripes Duo. Both have the same formula so I'll address that now. Due to being microglitters in a clear base, they do start off a bit sheer, though are smooth and easy to apply and you do get a good amount of glitter. I preferred the coverage I achieved with three coats. They also do dry slightly textured so I would recommend topcoating.

'Seeing Stripes' is a ruby red ultra holographic full coverage microglitter. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Seeing Stars' is a cobalt blue ultra holographic full coverage microglitter. Below is three coats with topcoat.

'Summer Sparkler 2.0' is a clear base packed full of mini holographic bar glitters. This is a rerelease of 'Summer Sparkler', which had larger bar glitters. It has a smooth, easy to apply formula, and the glitters spread out nicely and lay flat on the nail. I liked the coverage in two coats, although I did add a third to build it up a bit more. Below is three coats with topcoat.

While I am English and live in the UK so don't celebrate 4th July, I do have family in the US (and readers/followers!), so figured some nail art couldn't hurt. Using Lina Nail Art Supplies plate Make Your Mark 02, I stamped white stars over 'Seeing Stars' on my pointer nail and white stripes over 'Seeing Stripes' on my middle nail. I then painted 'Summer Sparkler 2.0' onto my ring and pinky nails.

What do you think? Are you celebrating the 4th of July? Whether you are or not, these polishes are all gorgeous! Lexi has a way of making her microglitter polishes glow the way no one else can. Bar glitters can be hit or miss as I know a lot of people aren't keen, but I really like them in this case!

All three of these are now sold out on Rainbow Connection, and 'Summer Sparkler 2.0' is also sold out on the Painted Polish website, but you can still find the Stars & Stripes Duo here.
