Hi! Today I'm back with a super quick bit of nail art for you. While swatching the new Barry M gellys (post here), I fancied doing plaid stamping over the pink-toned polish. I didn't do it while swatching, but ended up putting it back on a few days later to do my plaid mani - so here it is! Read on for more info.

I started with a base of Barry M gelly 'Pink Grapefruit' before topping it with Barry M matte topcoat. I then stamped my plaid pattern using UberChic Beauty plate 2-02 and Hit The Bottle 'As Black As Night'. I did intend to double stamp the same pattern using a gold polish, but after a test I didn't love it!

What do you think? I wasn't completely sure at first, but it definitely grew on me, especially being matte. I've made it a goal of mine recently to use a lot more of my stamping plates, and do more nail art in general. I've bought a lot of plates that need using, but also want to appreciate older ones in my collection like the one used here.
