Hello! I'm back continuining on with swatches of my picks from last fall's Road to Polish Con series. If you missed my other posts, you can find part 1 here, and part 2 here. Today I have swatches of the final three I have to hand. Hopefully the replacements for my missing two are on their way so I can share them soon. Read on for my full swatches and more info!
Last time I finished with my picks from week 8. I didn't purchase any from week 9, but did get one from week 10. Pahlish 'Sweet Home Chicago' is a pinky lilac with small holographic flakes and a soft holographic dusting. This is more of a jelly base so does start off sheer. I found I needed three coats to build it up. Below is three coats with topcoat.
During the final week, week 11, I purchased both polishes. First up is Lyn B Designs 'The Violet of Shy-Town', a violet base with holographic flakes and a shifty pink shimmer. The formula is slightly on the thick side, but still easy to apply. It is fully opaque in two coats and the shimmer translates well to the nail. Below is two coats with topcoat
Next is Pretty Jelly 'Lights & Theatrics', a orangey red holographic with gold shimmer and shimmery pink to blue flakes. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, and much more opaque than I expected. It was ever so slightly sheer on the first coat, so I did add a second for full coverage. Below is two coats with topcoat.
What do you think? Three more fantastic polishes! All are definitely unique to my collection due to all of the added shimmers, flakes, and holographic. That's it for now for my Road to Polish Con picks, until my replacements arrive. I hope you've enjoyed a look at my choices!
Hope to see you in the next post!
