Mani and Lola - January 2018

Hello! Today I have Mani and Lola's January edit to share. If you missed my unboxing and swatches of Decembers box, you can find that post here. The only hints we had for January's box is that it is to 'revive, rejuvenate, and refresh', and is about 'looking after your hands for the winter months' - so I expected a few nail care items. Read on for my full swatches and a look at everything inside!

The first item this month is both a nail polish and a treatment - a bottle of OPI Nail Envy in the shade 'Samoan Sand', a soft nude. We did recieve a full size bottle of the original Nail Envy in November's box (post here). This has a smooth, easy to apply formula. It is sheer so I could still see my nail line quite well after a third coat. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Next up for polishes is Artistic Colour Revolution 'Shred It Up', described as an orchid purple creme. This is the first time I've heard of the brand Artistic, so I was excited to give it a go. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, and is opaque in two coats. This dries slightly on the matte side so I would recommend topcoat. Below is two coats with topcoat.

Next is Butter London 'Flusher Blusher', a bright pink creme. I only have one other Butter London as they can be expensive, so I was happy to see this in my box! It has a smooth, easy to apply formula. Others have got this opaque in two coats, but honestly my bottle seems a lot more sheer. I still had visible nail line after a third coat. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Last up for polish is China Glaze 'New Year, New Boo', a deep shimmery blue. This is from the Glam Finale Holiday 2017 Collection. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, and very opaque. This was easily a one coater for me. Topcoating really brings out the shimmer. Below is one coat with topcoat.

First up for extras is a Cuccio hydrating butter in the scent milk and honey. This can be used for the hands, feet, and body, although I will probably stick to using it on just my hands. I always love a new hand cream/butter so this will be well used.

Next is an anti-aging hand repair mask from Skin Republic. This claims to be 'intensely moisturising', which is always good! I can't say I've used anything like this before, but it sounds like a great way to boost hydration during the colder months.

To finish up, we recieved another Mani and Lola nail file. This is a much softer grit than the last one, giving a much gentler file/buff.

What do you think? As I expected, we did recieve a couple of nail care items perfect for the cold winter months. But that didn't stop Mani and Lola including four polishes too! I did mention this already last month, but I'm impressed that we are being sent newly released polishes.
