September MeeBox (& Nail Art) - Bollywood Nights

Hello! Today I have September's MeeBox to share. If you missed August's box, you can find my unboxing and swatches here, and nail art here. September's theme was 'Bollywood Nights'. My box arrived while I was on holiday, and although I did sneak a look at the contents on Instagram, I was excited to come home and have a play myself. Read on for a look at everything inside and for my Bollywood mani!

First up is Models Own Glitter Gel 'Petunia Glitz', a hot pink jelly base with pink flakes and silver shimmer. I do already have this. It has a smooth, easy to apply formula, especially considering the flakes. Being a jelly base it starts off sheer, although builds up well. I could still just about see my nail line after two coats so added a third. Below is three coats with topcoat.

Next is Lauren B Beauty 'Ivy At The Shore', a rich metallic teal. The formula is smooth and easy to apply, and I found this to be a one coater for me. If you applied thin coats, I could see you possibly needing a quick second. I feel like this would be a perfect Christmas polish! Below is one coat with topcoat.

The third polish is Leighton Denny 'Nothing But Sand', a bright mustard yellow creme. This is slightly on the thick side but very smooth and easy to apply. As it is yellow, it is a bit streaky. I had some minor streaks after two coats so added a third. I feel like this dries down slightly darker than it applies. Below is three coats with topcoat.

We also received a bottle of Little Ondine peel off basecoat. I tested this out under a glitter, and while it did peel off, I felt like it took a layer or two of my nail with it. I've never had this with other Little Ondines polishes, so I'll give it another go before I make up my mind!

This month we have two nail art items from Miss Cat Nails - a pack of their Gold Regal stickers, and a pot of gold glitter. These go together perfectly, and fit well into the Bollywood theme.

The last item included for September is a sheet of temporary tattoos from Karizma London. I believe there were a couple of different designs, but all seem to be metallic gold and/or silver, and fit the theme nicely. I have design YS-29.

For my nail art, I started by painting my ring nail with 'Ivy At The Shore', and all others with 'Nothing But Sand'. I added one of the Miss Cat nail art stickers onto my ring nail and sprinkled the gold glitter into wet topcoat on my pinky nail. On my middle finger, I used 'Ivy At The Shore' to stamp the floral lion image from UberChic Beauty plate Out of Africa-01.

What do you think? Are you getting a Bollywood vibe from my nail art? I thought the addition of the floral lion would work quite well! I can definitely see the theme throughout this months box, and we were treated to so many items. My favourite polish is definitely the Leighton Denny - I'm a yellow lover all year round, but it has the perfect amount of mustard in it for Autumn.

You can find out more about MeeBox and subscribing here.

Hope to see you in the next post!
