Sponged Glitter Gradient (MeeBox Polishes)

Hello! Today I have another old mani to share, using two of the polishes from February's MeeBox - if you missed my original posts for the box, you can see my swatches here, and nail art look here. I really liked how the three polishes worked together, so couldn't resist trying a quick glitter gradient with two of them. Read on for more info!

I started with a base of Maggie Anne 'Pearl', a glossy black creme. Below is two coats without topcoat.

I then created my glitter gradient using Little Ondine 'Copper Spark'. I applied a small amount of polish onto a make-up sponge and dabbed it onto the tips of my nails. I carefully dabbed higher and higher as less glitter remained on the sponge - this helped to create the gradient effect. I finished with a coat of topcoat to smooth everything out.

What do you think? I really love it! This is my first ever attempt at sponging a glitter gradient, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I also really liked the effect of the copper over the black, instead of a silver or a gold. I'll definitely have to play around with this technique more in the future.

Hope to see you in the next post!
