Hello! Today I'm back with another 26 Great Nail Art Ideas mani. If you missed my post for the last prompt, 'Lilac, Pink, and Gold', you can find that here. This time the theme is 'Water'. I was almost tempted to try watermarbling, but I'm not quite brave enough yet! I did however decide I wanted to do something other than stamping for once, and ended up doing a bit of sponging. Read on for more info!
I started with a base of Itsy Nails London 'In Deep', a sky blue creme. The brand was kind enough to send me this, along with three other polishes, so keep an eye out for my swatches soon! Below is two coats without topcoat.
I then got started on adding my water effect. I did originally think of doing a smoosh, but I thought it would look a bit too 'smooth'. To try and create a more textured look, I ripped off a piece of sponge and roughly dabbed on my colours. I sponged on a darker blue (Models Own 'Blue Skies'), white (China Glaze 'White on White'), and silver (Barry M Silver Foil Effect). I left it untopcoated as again, I was going for a more textured rough water look.
What do you think? Does it look like water to you? I think it does! I did think about stamping a little fish or two on top, but I wanted to stick to my 'no stamping' rule for this prompt. I'm quite pleased that I did! As always, I'll be back in two weeks with the next theme.
Hope to see you in the next post!

Really beautiful mani Hun, I love the textures effect definitely feeling the water vibes xx
ReplyDeleteBecca this is so pretty and very watery! I love it without the fish, there's something about keeping them simple.
