April MeeBox Unboxing & Swatches - Soft Scoop

Hello! Today I have my swatches and unboxing of April's MeeBox to share. If you missed last month's 'Miami Nice' box, you can find my swatches here and nail art here. April's theme is 'Soft Scoop' and is inspired by ice cream - how fun! I envisioned a box full of pastels, and that's exactly what we got. Read on for full swatches and more info!

First up is Trust Fund Beauty 'Do You Know Who My Father Is?', a soft baby pink creme. The formula is easy to apply but unfortunately is sheer and streaky. It does build up and is fully opaque in three coats. I still had some minor streaks, but not enough to justify a fourth coat. This dries glossy. Below is three coats without topcoat.

Next is iZ Beauty of London 'Baby Blue', a baby blue creme. This has a lovely formula but again starts off a bit sheer and streaky. It is opaque in two coats, although I did add a third to even out the streaks. This is a beautiful colour. Below is three coats with iZ Beauty's 'Plump' topcoat.

The last polish is Models Own 'Banana Split', a pastel yellow. This is from the scented Fruit Pastels collection which I have always wanted (but I'm never convinced I suit pastels). Being a light yellow the formula is quite streaky. However, it applied better than I expected, and evens out after a third coat. Below is three coats without topcoat.

As our first 'extra', we were treated to Zoya's Matte Velvet topcoat. This was the one item that we knew was coming this month, as the MeeBox ladies got excited and sent us a spoiler. My go to matte topcoat is from Barry M, so I'll be interested to see how the two compare.

Finally, we also recieved Whats Up Nails dripping stencils and neapolitan confetti. I've heard so many things about Whats Up Nails, and have always wanted to give some of their items a go. The dripping stencils will be perfect for melting ice cream, and the confetti as sprinkles.

What do you think? I was so excited when the soft scoop theme was announced, and I couldn't wait to get playing with everything (which is probably why my post isn't ridiculously late for once!). All three polishes were three coaters, but that's to be expected from such light pastel colours. I've already done my nail art for this month, so look out for my next post!

You can find out more about MeeBox and subscribing here.

Hope to see you in the next post!
