Helloo! Today I have a fun thermal polish from Opulent Essences called 'In The Mood' to show you. Apart from quickly testing a clear to black topcoat, this is actually the first thermal I've worn properly. I'm not sure how that's the case as I've always loved the idea. 'In The Mood' is a pink to purple thermal. It has a jelly formula so is quite sheer. However it is very easy to apply, and builds up well with three coats. I did add a fourth to make sure it fully covered on my nails, but those with shorter nails wouldn't need to. Being a jelly it dries amazingly shiny and squishy looking. All pictures show four thin coats and topcoat.

My hands are naturally cold, so the colour stayed nearer the cold state for the majority of the time (as shown above). I could easily shift the polish towards the warm colour by dipping my fingers into warm water. Shown below is the polish transitioning between the two states.

While on a train, I noticed that my fingers were at the warm state. I was playing with my iced drink, and took a quick photo of the transition from warm to cold. You can see that the true cold state is a much darker purple than shown above.

What do you think? I love this so much! The colour changed much easier than I thought it would so I was very impressed. I couldn't stop playing while it was on my nails. Anytime I was near something hot or cold I'd use it to change the colour - it is way too fun!

DeleteI love thermals! But like my daughter Becca, I naturally have cold hands, so they don't tend to change too much, but do love this colour combo!

DeleteI've never tried therma nail polish, but then again i also have never seen any therma nail polish in RSA. The colour combo looks great on you!
