Hello! Today I have the Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence/Presence duo to show you. These are Pretty Serious's answer to black and white, marketed as 'one coat perfection'. I actually got 'Absence' back in January (see part 2 of my U.S. haul here). I finally used it recently, and loved it so much that I immediately bought 'Presence' from Rainbow Connection here in the UK. Read on for full swatches and more info!

'Absence' is a jet black creme. The formula is perfect. It is a definite one coater while still being super smooth and easy to apply. It dries very quickly and to a smooth glossy finish. It is also very very black - a second coat doesn't deepen the colour at all. Below is just one coat with topcoat.

'Presence' is a pure white creme. Again the formula was smooth and easy to work with, but unfortunately was not a one coater for me. The first coat went on quite opaque but fairly streaky, so I did need a second. Like 'Absence', this dries down very smooth and glossy. Below is two coats and topcoat.

What do you think? I can't believe that 'Absence' is a one coater, especially on my long nails. It has moved straight to the top of my favourite black polishes! I did have high hopes for 'Presence', but although it wasn't a one coater (for me), it is still a great white! I can't wait to try stamping with both polishes. Do you have either?

DeleteWow, these look pretty great, especially because I tend to overlook plain black and white cremes! I have to find ANY white polish that is truly a one coater; even ones people rave about seem to require 2-3 coats for me, and my nails aren't nearly as long as yours, so it's nice to hear that two covers well!
