Opulent Essences 'Orange Sours'

Hello lovelies! Before I started my March no-buy (I've made it 15 days, yay!), I purchased a few Opulent Essences polishes. You can expect swatches of all of them to pop up over the next few weeks, but for today I have 'Orange Sours' to show you. I paired it with Smith & Cult 'Porn-A-Thon' (swatched here) as I thought the two would work well together. As always, read on for more info!

Opulent Essences 'Orange Sours' is a sheer orange tinted base full of iridescent glitters in small circles and squares. There seems to be couple of pink glitters scattered in there too, but that might just be me seeing things!

To start with, I painted my pointer and little fingers with Smith & Cult 'Porn-A-Thon', and my middle and ring fingers with China Glaze 'White on White'. I thought a white base would help the glitters pop that little bit more.

I then added two coats of 'Orange Sours' over both white nails. It was a tiny bit thicker due to the larger glitters, but I still found it easy to apply. The glitters also dry a bit textured. After a thin coat of Seche Vite I could still feel the glitters slightly, so if this bothers you I would suggest a thicker coat.

What do you think? I quite like how the base is lightly tinted - you could use it over a white for a softer look like I have, or layer it over an orange to make it bolder. I also think it looks quite good next to the peach!

You can find Opulent Essences on etsy here. Unfortunately I do have the last bottle of Orange Sours, but they have a lot of gorgeous polishes available in newer bottles - I'm eyeing up their Taste The Rainbow neon collection!

Hope to see you in the next post!
