Hello! Today I have a quick post for you, with swatches of OPI glitter topper 'I'll Tinsel You In' - I don't really want to admit how long it took me to get the name, definitely a little bit too long! This was one of the OPIs I picked up in Cosmoprof while in the U.S. (mainstream haul post here). It was by the till on clearance and I just couldn't say no. Read on for more info!

'I'll Tinsel You In' is from the Gwen Stefani 2014 Holiday Collection. It is a black and white glitter topper made of up of black circles and hexes, and white bars and squares. The heavier glitters do tend to settle (shown in the picture below), so I would recommend storing the bottle upside down shortly before applying.
I got a lot of glitter out on the brush which spread out nicely without too much hassle. I didn't get a massive amount of the white square glitters, but with a little bit of fishing I could have got a few more. I used one coat over OPI 'Look At My Bow!' from the Hello Kitty collection (swatched here) for the photos below.
I actually really love this! I think the colour combination works so well together. Although 'I'll Tinsel You In' is technically a Christmas polish and does look like tinsel, I think you could get away with wearing it any time of the year - like me wearing it in March!

DeleteOhh I like this. Great combo!
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty cool combination, I surly would not have come up with that.
ReplyDeleteIt does work really well! I was impressed :) x
DeleteIt reminds me of an 80's retro look combined with a 50's glam look. Perfect for spring... I love it!
ReplyDeleteI wanna try it over other colours now! Maybe a baby blue? x
DeleteOr maybe a nice cornflower blue (that might be showing up soon?) :)
DeleteYess it's perfect! Thank you <3
DeleteI remember when every indie and mainstream brand went for a black & white glitter! I did my share in the trend and I think I have about 4 or 5 bottles of different shaped ones! I'm missing the OPI though!
ReplyDeleteI think this is the only one I have! That I can think of off the top of my head anyway x
DeleteI love black, white, and pink together. This is a perfect combo!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It does work really well :) x
DeleteConsidering its bar glitter I really do like this glitter a lot. I like that it's mixed in with regular round glitter. Looks great over the pink!
ReplyDeleteYesss I somehow don't even consider it to be bar glitter lol! I'm not normally a fan of bars either so it's a surprise fave for me :) x
