November Nailbox Unboxing - Festive Fingers

Hello! It's officially that time of the month again - happy nailbox day! This months box has a festive theme and I could not be more excited! It's getting super close to December and I have to say I'm starting to get into the Christmas spirit. The treats in my nailbox definitely help. Read on for a closer look at everything inside!

Upon opening I was greeted with the normal nailbox card, this time super festive and Christmassy. They also included something new this month - a card with tutorials for two Christmas inspired nail designs. Both designs are done using polishes from this months box which I think is a really nice touch.

Now for the polish!

The first one that caught my eye was a gorgeous deep green from True Brit London called 'Park Lane'. Any of you who follow my blog know that I've become a massive fan of True Brit London after receiving 'Taxi Cab' in a previous nailbox (post here) and 'Corgi' in last months Meebox (post here). This is a perfect Christmas tree or holly leaf green and I can't wait to use it.

The second polish I picked out was OPI 'Happy Anniversary', a delicate shimmery silver. This is used as a base for one of the nail tutorials and it suggests four coats. I'm not sure I'd be happy if I needed four coats of this to be opaque! Kirsty over at Fairytale Nails got this opaque in two coats for her swatch, so fingers crossed.

The third and final polish is Rimmel shade 'Double Decker Red', a nice bright solid red. I'd consider red a staple Christmas shade and can see this getting a lot of use in the next month!

The first 'non-polish' item included this month was a pack of false nails from Elegant Touch in short oval. I have long nails and have never used false nails so I won't be using these. I will either try to find someone who will or keep them for nail art practice. I think maybe these would have been better if they had a festive nail art design on them instead of just being clear.

The second item was an emery board nail file from ORLY. I don't tend to use these anymore since switching over to glass/crystal. That being said, I might take this with me on holiday next month - just in case airport security don't appreciate glass files!

I found a surprise extra treat hiding in the bottom of my box - a candy cane!

The polishes in this months box fit the festive theme perfectly. You can't go wrong with reds, greens and glitters. I look forward to creating some festive designs soon!

If you haven't heard of the Nailbox subscription box service yet, you can find all details on their website here. Decembers box is said to have a 'funky fresh feel to it' with some 'fantastic fresh shades' - I already can't wait!

Hope to see you in the next post!

  1. Not the most festive of boxes,, could at least stuff something in a little more Christmassy in, like some nice nail art, to me the extra nails could have gone in every month.

As for the colours, they do look really good. So let me know how you get on with these,
But once again, Xmas to me is sparkles and glitter, so pity they didn't include one of them,

    1. The colours are really festive! A red, a green and a nice silver. Although I do agree with you that the extras could have been a bit more on theme :( x
