Happy Halloween! I've been enjoying Halloween designs all month and I'm a bit sad that the day itself is here already. On the plus side, all of the ideas I have left can be used next year so I won't have to repeat designs. I've managed to squeeze in one final spooky mani for today. As always, read on for more info!

I started with another China Glaze polish from the Apocalypse of Colour Halloween collection - 'Don't Let The Dead Bite', a fleshy pink jelly base full of red glitters. The glitters lie nice and flat and don't cause a textured finish. The jelly base does start off sheer but builds up nicely. I used three coats to cover up my nail line completely, but you could get away with two due to the glitter.

This is a perfect Halloween polish! I don't think I would wear it at any other time during the year so I'm glad I pulled it out now. I read somewhere that the glitter is supposed to look like blood splatter. It definitely screams fleshy bloody skin - I love it!
I wanted to use some of the vinyls I received in the She Sells Seashells Halloween trick or treat box (unboxing and review here). I ended up settling on R.I.P lettering and a zombie hand. After applying fast dry topcoat and making sure my nails were fully dry I applied a vinyl to each of my fingers.

I used Ciate 'Boudoir', a nice deep red, to fill in the vinyls before removing them straight away. I wasn't sure how to get the middle sections out of the R and P without ruining them but a pair of tweezers did the trick. Finally, I applied topcoat to smooth everything over.

What do you think? I love how they turned out, very Halloween-y. I can't wait for next year to start the spooky designs all over again. A collage of all of my Halloween designs from this month should be up later - just incase you need that last bit of inspiration or if you missed any!
Hope to see you in the next post!

The vynals worked really well,, are they re usable
ReplyDeleteThey're only meant for one use - you could probably try but they wouldn't be as sticky and they end up with polish all over them x
