Girly Bits - A Stripper Has Been Sleeping In My Bed

If you read my previous post - The 'All About Polish' Tag, you would know that I have been branching out my collection and trying lots of indie brands. Recently, I managed to get my hands on several Girly Bits Cosmetics polishes. The first to catch my eye was 'A Stripper Has Been Sleeping In My Bed'. This was a special release for Girly Bits' 2nd anniversary. Read on for more info and swatches!

 From Girly Bits website:

"It is a clear based holo micro glitterbomb that will knock your socks off, or your stripper boots, which ever you favour. It is dense enough to be worn in 2-3 coats alone, or in one coat layered over your favourite colour."

I did find that it was a slightly grey tinted rather than silver, making it rather unique. I chose to wear it on it's own and found it to be opaque in 3 coats. Here is how the glitter coverage built up on my thumb. Apologies for the slightly blurry photos, the holo and glitter freaked my camera out.

1 Coat, 2 Coats, and 3 Coats of 'A Stripper Has Been Sleeping In My Bed'

Being a microglitter, it does dry to a textured finish. Below is three coats without topcoat.

To smooth it out and amplify the holo, I added a quick coat of topcoat:

Based on your preference, you may need a second coat of topcoat to completely smooth out the texture. I was happy to leave mine with one.

I'm loving how holographic this is. There's a constant sparkle of rainbow running through my nails. Hopefully the sun comes out soon so it can shine even more!
