Chi Chi Cosmetics Glitter Tips

After having Barry M's new 'Sprint Finish' (swatches and review here) on my nails for a few days, I fancied adding some sparkle. I picked out a bright chunky glitter, and ended up with these glittery tips. Find out more after the jump!

As mentioned, I started off with a base of Barry M 'Sprint Finish'. This is one of the new speedy quick dry nail paints from their Autumn/Winter releases. In case you haven't seen my previous swatches, here it is:

I wanted to add some sparkle. I picked out a bright fuchsia pink chunky glitter from Chi Chi Cosmetics - an Australian make up and nail polish brand, online here. I can't seem to find a name on my bottle. I did get this in a glitter box set, so maybe that's why.

I applied a coat over my ring finger. I did find this very base heavy, and did have to dab it on to get an even coverage. It ended up fairly thick, and dried with a gummy looking texture. A coat of Seche Vite topcoat evened out most of this texture.

Due to the thick base of the polish, I decided to sponge on my glitter tips. I applied the glitter polish to make-up sponges (mine are from Primark) and let it soak in for around 10 seconds before dabbing it across the tips of my nails.

They aren't massively even as I did them late lastnight in the dark. I also took my pictures in the dark. Woops!

I took some better pictures this morning:

Even though my glitter application was a bit dodgy, I still quite like how these turned out! It makes Sprint Finish look a bit more purple, compared to deep red when on its own. What do you think?

Hope to see you in the next post!
