Show Me Your Pinks! - Breast Cancer Awareness Month (& Link-Up)

As many of you will already know, October is breast cancer awareness month. That little pink ribbon will start to pop up everywhere, as well as lots of pink manicures over in the nail polish world.  I myself will be sporting pink nails throughout October. Crabtree & Evelyn Ultimate Nail Exchange

Until recently, I had no idea that Crabtree & Evelyn even had a nail polish range. That was until I stumbled across this post a good month or so ago:

I then completely forgot about it. Woops! Luckily the offer is still on! All you need to do is take any polish (except a Crabtree & Evelyn one) to exchange. I grabbed an old gloopy and separated polish and popped in store. My local store (Cardiff) only had a a few polishes left. Read on for more info and swatches of the polish I chose!

Hello! I have a very exciting post for you today! Barry M have treated us to even more new polishes, this time in the form of two Gelly Hi-Shine glitters - 'Sparkling Amethyst' and 'Sparkling Ruby'. These are the first Gelly Hi-Shines to have glitter and I really hope they won't be the last! I have both of them to show you today - read on for more info and swatches!

A-England - Order of the Garter

A-England is a brand I've been following for a while, admiring the very royal feeling English theme. A few weeks ago I took advantage of their September Festival offer and finally placed my first order. I opted for the letter L: 'Order of the Garter' and 'Gloriana' along with a third polish of my choice - 'Crown of Thistles'. 

Today I have swatches of 'Order of the Garter', a deep royal blue with a lighter blue shimmer running through. Read on to find out more!

The 'All About Polish' Tag

My favourite YouTubers have done another collaboration video - this time including Jess (jessFACE90), Amy (Nailpolish BabyyNinety), Lindsay (Lindsay Does Nails), Holly (MissHollyBerries), Zenorah (Zenorah/ZENnetwork) and Hannah (Hannah Eve Nails It). I love their collabs! They've come up with the 'All About Polish' tag, with 10 questions based on nail polish. I decided to answer them all myself. This might get pretty long, so let's get started!

I can officially say that this is a press sample! The lovely people over at NailPolish.co.uk sent me two full size polishes to review. They even let me choose my own polishes. I chose two OPI's - 'Live. Love. Carnaval' and 'Amazon Amazoff' which dispatched on Monday and arrived Tuesday morning - less than 24 hours later! Read on for more details and swatches!

Pond Manicure Update - Matte Topcoat

Hello everyone!

On Saturday I posted my first ever pond manicure, done in support of Glam Polish's #bluemanisforalopeciaawareness event. If you missed the post (or are new to my blog, hi!) check it out here. I absolutely loved the final look - so much so that I'm nowhere near ready to take it off! Here's how it looks after the few days wear:

It hadn't chipped at all, but some of the shine had faded. To get a few more days out of the design, I decided to switch it up a bit. Now I wasn't sure whether adding subtle glitter (e.g. China Glaze's 'Fairy Dust') would work, and I wanted to try something new. So instead I reached for a matte topcoat. A few days ago, I posted swatches of Nails Inc Gel Effect shade 'Seven Dials' (see here). I felt like the bright sunflower yellow shade would be a perfect base for a bit of nail art. China Glaze 'Flip Flop Fantasy' vs. Models Own 'Beach Bag'.

China Glaze's 'Flip Flop Fantasy' is a summer staple in the nail world - if you don't already own the neon shade, you need it. When I finally got a bottle it instantly reminded me of Models Own 'Beach Bag' (from the Polish for Tans collection), so I compared the two over on Instagram. When Flip Flop Fantasy came in Augusts Nailbox (reviewed here), I decided to expand this into a blog post. Swatches after the jump!
